أثر الرواية بالمعنى على الأحاديث المرفوعة في صحيح البخاري : دراسة تطبيقية من كتاب الوضوء إلى كتاب التيمم

Abstract EN

This study focuses on the topic of al-Riwāyah bi al-Ma’na by carying an extensive observation on the hadīth recorded in the book of al-Tahārah (purification) in al-Imām al-Bukhāri’s al-Jāmi’ al-Sahīh).

This study aims to reveal the methodology and explain the goals of al-Bukhāri in recording hadīth in his magnum opus according to the manner of al-Riwāyah bi al-Ma’na and at the same time to disclose its effects on his tarājim and narrators and the understanding of the hadīth texts.

This study succesfully proves that al-Riwāyah bi al- Ma’na in Sahīh al-Bukhāri does not change the original and actual meaning of the hadīth and that the most important types of changes occurs in some words and phrases only.

It also proves that the ultimate goal of al- Bukhāri in bringing this type of narrations is to accomplish the service towards al-matn al-jāmi’ (comprehensive text) and that is through the additional explanations found in such narrations which is indeed a handful factor in clearly explaining the real context of the hadīth such as the reason behind the existence and transmission of any narration and the place and time factor which surrounds that particular narration.

This study also highlights al-Bukhari’s motives concerning hadīth criticism and understanding via the canal of al-Riwāyah bi al-Ma’na which relies upon three important aspects namely al-Takrār, al-Mutāba’ah and al- Ta’līq .
