Abstract EN

The purpose of the study is to investigate the level of basic physical estimation skill (mass, size, time and distance) among tenth grade students; as well as exploring the difference in the skill level according to gender and achievement variables.

The researchers adopted the descriptive approach through administrating a practical test consisted of (20) questions distributed into four items: estimation of mass, size, time and distance on a sample of tenth grade students in Irbid first educational directorate after checking validity and reliability, the sample of the study consisted of (755) male and female students from a population of (8033) male and female students.

The findings of the study showed an accept level of the skill in general according to the correction criteria, a weak level of mass estimation, with statistically significant differences in the skill level of the overall estimation according to the gender variable in favor of males, and according to the variable of achievement for students with high achievement.
