Abstract EN

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of a training program based on Science Standards for the Next Generation (NGSS) in developing scientific instructional practices among science teachers in Gaza.

The research followed the semi-experimental approach according to the design of the one group (pre-post/test), where the research sample reached (22) female science teachers for the basic stage.

To do this, the standards- based training program was built based on (NGSS), and a science instructional practices observation card was prepared, the validity and reliability of the research tool has been verified.

The results of the research showed that there is an effectiveness of the training program in developing scientific instructional practices for science teachers in Gaza with a Black Gain Ratio (1.3), and that there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance α = 0.01 between the average scores of science teachers before and after training in the observation card for existing scientific instructional practices on the standards (NGSS) in favor of post-implementation.
