Abstract EN

The study aimed to reveal the predictability of cognitive representation efficiency and learning strategies on information processing among Yarmouk University students.

To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher adapted three tools have been adopted; Al-Zayyat scale (1999) for cognitive representation, consisted of (43) items, Boruchovtich and Santos scale (2015) for learning strategies, consisted of (33) items, distributed on three domains, Smerecenik, Mesters Kandel, Vries and Vries (2012) and [Besant (1997) scales for the information processing, consisted of (55) items.

The study sample consisted of (1200) male and female students, were chosen by the quota method.

The results showed that the predictive model of variables (cognitive representation, internal capabilities and context organization strategies, social organization strategies) with metacognition processes, the predicative model of variables (cognitive representation, social organization strategies) with surface learning style, the predicative model of variables (cognitive representation, internal capabilities and context organization strategies, social organization strategies) with surface learning style, and the predicative model of cognitive representation with cognitive interference and distraction among Yarmouk University students, all of which were statistically significant.
