The aim of the study was to try to verify the effectiveness of a program based on self-management in developing reading comprehension in the English language subject for students with learning difficulties in the preparatory stage and applying a program based on self-management in developing some reading comprehension skills in the English language for students with learning difficulties in middle school.

the study sample of (80) pupils who had learning difficulties in the English language in the middle school were divided into two groups, one of them was control and consisted of (40) students and the other was experimental and consisted of (40) students and (20) students to conduct the exploratory study from outside the study community from among the class pupils the second intermediate school in Abu Bakr al-Siddiq school, which incorporates basic education in the city of al-Arish, north Sinai governorate, has been implemented the educational program consisting of 14 sessions at the rate of two sessions per week, and the study tools are from a list with some appropriate reading comprehension skills of the English language for middle school students with learning difficulties, an achievement test to measure students' level in the English language, the training program it is based on self-management prepared by the researcher, and one of the most important results was that the proposed educational program had a positive effect on developing some reading comprehension skills of the English language among students with learning difficulties in the preparatory stage.
