This article aims to know the Literacy Programme and its importance for the kindergarten Child, where this article dealt with the importance of the kindergarten and its crucial role in forming the nucleus of human personality in all sides(mental, psychological, social and cognitive).This article also dealt with the Literacy Programme which based on the audio method of teaching reading and the concept of literacy, the objectives of the literacy programme and its importance to the kindergarten child, that depended on five factors are the phonological awareness, importance and skills required for the kindergarten child, the fluency of reading the words accurately and quickly, alphabetical principle (The relationship of character to sound) and its role in achieving the beauty of the word, the vocabulary and the role of the kindergarten teacher in supporting and enriching the language skills of the child and the most important duties of those involved in the raising of children at this age to work on their linguistic development properly they are reading, and reading comprehension skills and factors affecting it.
