The study aims to investigate the views of Ibn Abi Al-Rabea (d.688 AH) on “Al Tathyeel wa Al Takmeel Fi Sharh Al Tashil”, and to clarify Abu Hayyan's prespective on it, through a study of the issues a descriptive and analytical study, reviewing them in three topics: approvals, objections, and what was silent about it, after introducing a brief translation about Ibn Abi al-Rabea and Abu Hayyan , And the book " Al Tathyeel wa Al Takmeel".

The study was committed to writing the opinions quoted as mentioned in " Al Tathyeel wa Al Takmeel" firstly, and then commenting on them, the study revealed that the first fourteen parts of the book contain forty-eight opinions of Ibn Abi al-Rabi’a, which testify to his grammatical prowess and his cleverness of the opinions of the previous ones; He was not satisfied with mentioning their opinions, but tended to favoring and choosing, and singling out some opinions, and also showed the great respect of the latecomers for him; This is evidenced by Abu Hayyan's naming of him as "our sheikh" in ten places.

Abu Hayyan agreed with him in twelve (12) opinions, and he objected to him in twenty-seven (27) opinions, and he remained silent about nine (9) opinions, His objection was very polite, and far from the use of explicit words in the objection, and a clear respect for his sheikh, and the sheikhs of Andalusia in general.
