العوامل المؤثرة في تخلي الأمهات المطلقات عن الحضانة من وجهة نظرهن : دراسة ميدانية في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية

Abstract EN

This study examined the factors that affect divorced mothers giving up custody from their opinion, and aimed to identify the factors (social, economic, health, psychological and legal) that lead mothers to give up custody, and identify the general factors and proposals that mothers made to deal with the phenomenon of abandonment, and factors depending on Variables for age at marriage, educational level, monthly income, and place of residence.

The study used the social survey method, whereby the sample of the study consisted of (81) women who abandoned the children who were chosen intentionally, and for the purposes of collecting data using the study, the questionnaire, which was developed by researchers according to Likert five-point scale.

The results of the study indicated that there is a group of factors that lead to pain to abandon custody of children, as socio-cultural factors came first.

In the second place are the economic-material factors, the third is the physical-health factors, the fourth is the personal-psychological factors, and the last is the legal-legislative factors.

The results showed that there are statistically significant differences in the factors that mothers give up custody attributable to variables: age at marriage in the group (less than 12 years), and blood existence of statistical differences attributable to variable educational level, monthly income, and place of residence.
