The current research aims to prepare a questionnaire and apply it to teachers of General Arabic and its students from the first stage of non-specialized departments from the college of Education at Al-Mustansiriya University to identify their views on evaluating the curriculum for General Arabic.
To achieve this purpose, the researcher applied the questionnaire to the research sample of (9) teachers, (160) male and female students of the first stage from non-specialized departments who are studying the subject of the general Arabic language, This was done after verifying the validity and stability of the tool, after the researcher identified four areas in the curriculum evaluation, namely: (the objectives, the content, the teaching process, and the evaluation).
and the answer to the tool is the choice of the teacher or the student to one of the three alternatives, namely: (too much, somewhat, no).
The results of the study indicated the extent to which students neglect this subject, which negatively affects the teacher's interest in it and its teaching methods.
The study concluded, in light of its results, to a number of conclusions and suggestions that emphasized the necessity for students to attend this subject and the interest of both students and teachers in it.
The researcher also suggested conducting a study similar to the current study on other subjects taught within the same college to know their strengths and weaknesses.
