Abstract EN

The article aims to get to know the patterns used by the teaching staff in the Holy Qur’an teaching in the social media programs.

It also aims to measure the extent of utilizing these programs in teaching the Holy Qur’an and the possibility of extending such programs to achieve the expected purposes.

The study employs the survey approach in collecting the data from a sample of the Holy Qur’an teachers in Kuwait by means of a questionnaire.

It concludes with a number of findings, the most important of which are: 1.

Social media is more overwhelmed by news, entertainment and advertisement than by those related to teaching users.

This is shown through the responses of the study sample in the questionnaire, whereby all options related to the process of education were left undone.

The study population agrees that the use of social media programs for education purposes requires strict controls, continuous monitoring, and guidance, reliability of content and sources.

Technical problems, slow internet connection, high cost, internet/social media illiteracy are the most critical obstacles facing the study population, making it hard for them to utilize social media for education purposes.
