Abstract EN

This study aims to know the importance of the role of kindergarten in preparing the child to attend primary school, and to reveal the existence of statistically significant differences between the views of mothers about this role according to two variables: level of education/ job of the mother.

To this end, the analytical descriptive approach was relied upon through the use of the questionnaire designed by the researchers after reading the theoretical heritage and the results of the interview with the mothers.

It was conducted on a sample of 60 mothers in Oran.

It yielded the following results: * level of kindergarten role in preparing the child for primary school is high in two dimensions: Social skills/educational skills.

* No statistically significant differences between mothers' views on the role of kindergarten in preparing a child for primary school, due to two variables: level of education/job of the mother
