Abstract EN

This is a brief study entitled as: “Imam Muhammed Hashim Al-Harithi Al-Tatawi Al-Sindhi (died 1174 AH) and His Contributions in Quranic Studies and Qira’at”.

The purpose of this article is to highlight Imam Al-Tatawi's efforts in Quranic studies, Qira'at and Tajweed.

I have found 15 books alone of him are related to the above-mentioned fields.

Moreover, based on my knowledge, non other scholars have reached that number in the field.

This study is consisting of: Introduction, Two Chapters, Conclusion, and Index.

objectives of this Research are; To highlight efforts of Imam Al-Tatawi in Qur’an studies, Qira'at, Tajweed and other related studies to the Holy Qur’an.

To highlight efforts of Imam Al-Tatawi in teaching and spreading these studies in Sindh.

To highlight his effort of reviving the Sanad which is connected till the Prophet -peace be upon him - in the Land of Sindh.

In Conclusion: Imam Al-Tatawi put his efforts to keep the Sanad in Qira'at in Sindh, and due to his efforts, some of his students speard the studies outside of Sindh.

It is obvious from his books that he had strongly loved Qira'at.

It also appears from his writtings that he was an excellent in mathematics, skilled in the arithmetic numbers.

He was proficient in both logic and Islamic studies.

It also appears from his books and comments that he had a huge library of great books in every art, and he was proficient in studying men's biography and narrators.

I recommend researchers to be interested in Imam Al-Tatawi's works, try their best to get his scripts and publish them; to benefit others.
