Abstract EN

This study aimed to measure students’ satisfaction and interaction in using discussions in traditional learning and blended learning.

A quasi-experimental method was used on the participants of 64 students who took Instructional Technology and Communication course at university of Hail.

There were two groups, the control group for traditional learning and experiment group for blended learning.

An electronic survey used to examine students’ satisfaction.

The count of students’ posts and participation in the discussion was used to measure students’ interaction in the two groups.

The result of this study showed that there were statically significant differences in students’ satisfaction showing that the students were more satisfied with the discussion in the control group (traditional learning style).

It also showed that the control group students’ interaction were positive and they were more active in their face to face discussions in the traditional learning than in the online discussion in the blended learning.

Recommendations and future research were also discussed.
