Soft skills for teachers of the Arabic language department and their relationship to cognitive depth from the students' point of view The current study aimed to identify the relationship between the soft skills of Arabic language teachers and the depth of knowledge from the students’ point of view and in the gender variable.
male and (287) female students from the Department of Arabic Language in the College of Islamic Sciences, and the researcher prepared two questionnaires, the first consisting of (37) items in six areas of soft skills, and the second consisting of (22) items in four areas of depth of knowledge, and the validity and reliability were verified The two questionnaires, the researcher used the descriptivesurvey method in the study procedures, and used the appropriate statistical methods, and the results of the study showed that the results in the gender variable are almost equal in the presence of soft skills, and the results in the variable relationship between soft skills when teaching Arabic and the depth of knowledge is a correlation that exists in a correlative way, regardless of Regardless of the degree of disparity in the presence and arrangement of these skills within the domains, the researcher recommended the following: 1- The Ministry of Higher Education should rely, in evaluating the performance of professors, on soft skills in the evaluation criteria.
2- The College of Islamic Sciences should hold workshops and training courses that contribute to providing the teaching staff with soft skills.
