Abstract EN

The research aimed to analyze the science and life curriculum for the third grade in the light of divergent thinking skills in order to determine the availability of those skills, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers followed the descriptive analytical approach.

From (5) skills categorized into (31) indicators, the study concluded that the content of the target book, which is the science and life book for the third primary grade in Palestine, focused on the skill of open thinking with a percentage of (30.96%), The results showed a scarcity in the skill of sensitivity to problems, almost non-existent in its indicators by (7.93%), while the rest of the skills amounted to (14.28%).

The researchers made several recommendations, most notably training teachers to develop aspects of divergent thinking by providing appropriate activities for students.

Developing the activities in the science course in terms of presenting new hypotheses about the proposed solutions to the problems presented and providing an element of suspense in the activity book.

Emphasis on the authors and developers of science courses of the necessity of designing units and teaching activities to develop divergent thinking.
