Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the degree to which student teachers in Arab open university possess soft skills from their point of view, where the descriptive approach applied to suit the purposes of the study.

The sample was chosen by the intentional sample of student teachers who study the practical education course in the higher diploma in education and the bachelor of elementary teaching major, totaling (118) students.

The results of the study showed that the degree to which student teachers in Arab Open University possess the soft skills (work ethic, cooperation, time management, critical j thinking, problem solving, goal setting, and communication skills) is high, and the results showed no differences.

Statistically significant in the degree to which student teachers in the Arab Open University possess soft skills according to age and experience.

The study recommended the necessity of training the student teacher on soft skills, to be able to train his students on them effectively, and to work on setting long- term goals to predict the future with what is useful in the educational process.

And work to anticipate all circumstances, whether negative or positive.
