Abstract EN

The study aims to find out the extent to which science and life books for the elementary high stage include the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

The study used the descriptive approach using the content analysis method.

The study sample consisted of science and life books for elementary high stage, which includes the fifth to ninth grades, which are ten books, with two books for each grade.

The study tool was a content analysis card that consisted of (8) SDGs, and which included (55) sub-index.

The results of the study revealed that the total frequency of the SDGs in the science and life textbooks of elementary high stage which includes the fifth to ninth grades reached (852) times, The sixth grade book obtained the highest percentage of these repetitions (25.94%), followed by the fifth grade book with a percentage of (25.23%), followed by the seventh grade book with a percentage (17.25%), followed by the ninth grade book with a percentage of ( 15.85%), while the eighth grade book got the lowest rate (15.73%), and the study recommended the need to include all sustainable development goals (SDGs) in science and life books for the elementary high stage in a balanced manner.
