Abstract EN

The research was conducted at the College of Education for Pure Sciences - University of Mosul, and aimed to identify the effect of a strategy prepared according to the Solo classification on academic achievement and cognitive representation of first-year students in the Department of Biology.

The sample of the current research was determined by students of the first stage in the Department of Biology/College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Mosul for the academic year 2021-2022.

The researcher used the experimental method in the study and prepared two tools for it: an achievement test and a scale to measure cognitive representation, and their validity and reliability were confirmed, and then they were applied to the research sample.

Cronbach's alpha coefficient and t-test for two independent samples were used as statistical means for their research.

The research concluded with a set of conclusions, recommendations and suggestions.
