Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the effectivcness of instructional simulation on motivation and achievement in chemistry among secondary school students Khartoum locality.

The quasi- experimental approach was applied using experimental and the control group design.

The sample of the study consisted of thirty- two students from the second grade of A1 Shajai'a Secondary School, who randomly divided into two groups; an experimental group of 16 students, and a control group of 16 students The experimental group studied unit in chemistry using instructional simulation courseware, while the control group &udied the same unit in the traditional method.

The study tools eonsiSted of ehemiStry achievement teSt, and a motivation scale prepared by the researcher and applied to the both research groups before and after teaching.

The independent samples (T) teSt results revealed statistically significant differences between the two groups in the mean scores for the poSt-measurement of achievement and batch in favor ofthe experimental group.

The results ofCohen’s teSt also revealed significant magnitudes for both variables.
