The current research aims to identify the academic laboratory skills of the students of the Department of Chemistry, College of Education for Pure Sciences / Ibn Al-Haytham.
1.
Identifying the level of academic laboratory skills possessed by the students of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Ibn Al-Haytham.
2.
Statistically significant differences in academic laboratory skills according to the gender variable (males) and (females).

To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher adopted the descriptive and correlative research method, and the research community was identified and its sample was selected (third-year students / College of Education / Ibn Al-Haytham / University of Baghdad) for the study year (2021-2022), and his sample consisted of (214) male and female students, With a total of (101) female students and (113) male students, the research tool (academic laboratory skills scale) was prepared, which included (9) academic skills and (45) items (5 items for each skill), and the five-point scale was chosen because the sample are university students.
The researcher found the psychometric properties of the scale of apparent validity, construction validity and stability, and the results showed that the students possessed academic laboratory skills, but in varying proportions (high, medium, and weak).
