The art of biography is old and can even be described as the oldest type of narrative, and it may even be one of the first motives that made human enters the world of writing.

in Arabic literature, we find many ancient writers and thinkers who tried to write their autobiography, and among the most important of these we find the “philosophical biography” of Muhammad Ibn Zakaria al-Razi and “the savior from error” by Abu Hamid al-Ghazali.

as for our modern and contemporary literature, we find distinct models that form the basis of biographical literature, including “the days” by Taha Hussein, “my life” by Ahmed Amin, “i” by Abbas Mahmoud al-Akkad, and Zaki Naguib Mahmoud’s trilogy “the story of a soul”, “the story of a mind” and “the harvest of the years”.

the book "the story of the mind”, wanted by Zaki “Naguib Mahmoud, was a record of his biography, the presence of the “mind” and its dominance over all the stops and turns that permeated the timeline of the biography's stations.

for the human ; it is a cognitive moment in its essence.

the book “the story of spirit” was devoted to talking about the first stage of his life, and the book “the story of a mind” was adopted to narrate the biography of his life in the second stage.
