Abstract EN

In this research, I dealt with the talk about Iraqi poetry in North America and the poetic movement in that region.

There are a large number of Iraqi intellectuals, and among these intellectuals were Iraqi poets who left Iraq as a result of the violence, siege, and continuous wars that accompanied that period from and to 1990-2020, and it was natural that they found themselves are required to express their rejection of what was happening in Baghdad, not just because they could do so far from the walls of the killers; Rather, because declaring the rejection of tyranny is a position that lies at the heart of the cultural choice represented in the search for the values of freedom, peace, love and creativity for Iraq’s non-traditional intellectuals, and in this exile there was a meeting of a number of Iraqi poets from the generation (the sixties, seventies, eighties and nineties) that merged in exile to produce the special interaction The poetry of exile, which, despite its new affiliation with one new poetic environment, remained captivated by severe polarizations from outside this environment, carrying in its veins environmental problems of memory.
