Case mark is one of the most important clues of grammatical meaning in Arabic, receiving more attention by grammarians than other clues.

Arabic grammar began as if it were pure case analysis.

However, among the ranks of Arab grammarians were some who cast shades of doubt on the casemarking phenomenon and claimed that associating case marking with meaning is not a decisive rule.

Besides its articulate function in the linguistic functional sense, case marking does have another function, pertaining to articulation in its aesthetic formal sense.

In other words, case markings have a formal aesthetic function in addition to controlling Arabic syntactic structures.
