Abstract EN

The present research aims to explore the correlation between self-perceived efficacy and achievement motivation among the students of the second grade in secondary schools in the city of Hama, and to Identify significant differences in the self-perceived efficacy and achievement motivation depending on the variables of sex (males and females) and academic major (Science and literature).

Two scales for the measurement of self-perceived efficacy and of achievement motivation was applied to a sample of students from second grade secondary sections of scientific & literary, composed of (203).

Male and Female students were selected using simple random sample.

The present research emphasized the following results: -There is a statistically significant correlation (0.01) between Self-perceived efficacy and achievement motivation among the students of the second grade in the secondary schools in the city of Hama.

-There are statistically significant differences in the Self-perceived efficacy according to the variable of academic major for students of science.

-There are no statistically significant differences in the Self-perceived efficacy according to the variable of sex.

-There are no statistically significant differences in achievement motivation, according to the variable of academic major.

- There are no statistically significant differences in achievement motivation according to sex.
