Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the nature of the relationship between the personality traits and administrative creativity proposed by William Marston, the population of the study comprises piiilic high schools¹ principals in Hael region in Saudi Arabia for the academic year 2009 / 2010.

The total nwnber of the principals Is (175) of them (86) male principals and (89) female principals.

The sample of the study is the population of the study itself.

To achieve the goals of the study a tool composed of two parts was designed : the first Is about personality traits and consists of (40) items, and the second component measures the administrative creativity and consists of (30) items, and the validity and the reliability of the tool were checked.

The results indicated that the evaluation of the principals for the personality traits were high except for the analytical style which was at the middle level, also the estimates for the administrative creativity were high except for the risky spirit which was at the middle level.

The results also indicated significant statistical differences in personal styles for the principals of schools attributed to gender and the educational status, and that there were no differences that are attributed to educational experience.

The results also indicated that there were significant statistical differences in the degree of administrative creation that are attributed to the gender, and educational status variables.

Also, the results indicated a positive relationship between the personal styles and the administrative creation with highest values of correlations between the outgoing style and the areas of administrative creation.
