This study aims to measure the effectiveness of art education curricula in the development of performance among King Faisal University students in the College of Education and its relationship with some variables.

The study sample composed of all students majoring in art education and their number is (64) students.

The study used fluency formalism tests which are consisting of three sections to measure creative performance among students and these tests are based on the drawing and adding details and technical and formal symbols.

Averages and st0andard deviations and T-Test were used in the interpretation of the results of students on these tests.

The results revealed that there is a statistically significant difference between mean scores of students on the pre-test and post-test in the total score for the skills of the creative performance after studying art education، which is for post-test.

The art education curricula focuses on the development of higher skills of thinking and performance more than focusing on the cognitive aspects.

The study results also revealed that there is an effect of the curricula of art education on the post test in the development of creative performance skills (fluency, flexibility , originality) which measured by formal fluency test in its three pictures when compared with the pre-test in which students did not show any improvement and growth in creative performance skills measured by formal fluency test.

The study recommended to focus on teaching skills in the decisions of the Major before joining the specialization of Art Education.
