Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to define collocations, and identify its types.

The researcher has tackled the importance of collocations to native, non-native speakers of Arabic, and translators as well as the necessity to include collocations in curricula.

Multiple terms and concepts are also addressed within the scope of the paper.

The paper concludes that the term" Collocations" in English, and "Collocations" in Arabic is the most commonly used term in linguistic studies.

The other terms, despite their variety, all refer to the same concept, that is: Collocations.
