Abstract EN

This study aimed at assessing the role of Knowledge economy in empowering University education as well as exploring its application challenges among a sample of (209) faculty members at Jordanian Universities for the academic year 2015- 2016.Results showed a moderate role (2.82) of knowledge economy in supporting university education elements where its largest role was in curriculum empowerment followed by faculty member, students and finally educational management.

Results also showed no statistically significant differences in subject's assessment of knowledge economy role due to their six, specialty, and academic rank.

On the other hand, results showed high level (3.46) of knowledge economy challenges in the University education, the most salient of which were Managerial(3.66), economic(3.46) and human challenges(3.26), however, results showed none statistically significant differences in the level of challenges due to subjects sex and academic rank, while statistically significant differences in economic challenges, due to subject's specialty, were found.
