Abstract EN

This study aims to determine the prevalence of symptoms of learning Disabilities among students of the first grade average in general education schools for girls, in the holy city of Makka using the learning disability evaluation scale - RENORMED Second Edition( LDES-scale R2).

The study sample consisted of 532 students, which is equivalent to 10% of the study population (5325) students in the first grade average.

The study will gather data by the application of Raven matrices successive test to measure IQ among students, and use learning disability evaluation scale - RENORMED Second Edition (LDES-R2), and scores of students in the subjects of Arabic and mathematics.

The results of a survey find The incidence of learning disabilities are high, (Listening, spelling ) were the first manifestations of the spread between the LDS , then (calculations), then (reading and thinking) and (Speaking), and finally (writing).

the Arabic translation of the Learning Disability Evaluation Scale (LDES) can be used in the identification of learning disabilities.
