English Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how school life establishes culture of fear in schools, Mainly, it attempts to answer the following two questions: 1.

what are the aspects of culture of fear in schools ? 2.

how can school be fear – free setting ? To answer these questions , a descriptive – analytical method was used.

Relevant literature was reviewed and many related concepts philosophically deliberated.

Those concepts include : School culture , the hidden curriculum , power and social class in schools, prejudice , and test-oriented curriculum.

To make schools fear – free places , social reconstructionism thought, Multiculturalism, and aesthetical education must be given their due considerations.
