Abstract EN

The study aimed to highlight Arabic calligraphy problems faced grade two pupils to determine direct and indirect factors of this problem.

The researcher has mainly adopted the descriptive analytical approach to investigate and analyze the works of a purposive sample of the pupils in second class at Majdi Cena Private School at Abu Si’id Locality, Omdurman, Sudan (academic year 2014- 2015).

Ten of the pupils’ books with handwritten texts worthy of being described and analyzed were chosen so as to determine handwriting difficulties and pave the way for more analysis.

The study has concluded that the pupils have hand writing problems, therefore some letters and words are completely illegible.

Moreover, the pupils do not care about the baseline.

For example, descending letters are not written according to their natural position.

Also, there are many linguistic mistakes.
