The present research aims to find a relationship between the learned helplessness self-esteem, ambiguity tolerance and ambition among a sample of blind adolescents.
The research sample consisted of 30 blind students from a high school.
To achieve this, scales have been applied learned helplessness (Alfarhaty.1997), and a measure of self-esteem for the blind (Radwan & Adakkohy, 2013) and a measure Ambiguity tolerance–intolerance (Mouawad, 2005), and the measure of ambition (Bazh, 2004).
Using Pearson correlation coefficient the results showed that: the existence of a a negative relationship between learned helplessness and self-estimation, the existence of a positive relationship between the learned helplessness and ambiguity intolerance and, finally, a negative relationship between the learned helplessness and ambition among blind adolescents.
The research found that the blind is characterized by a high level of learned helplessness and a high level of ambiguity intolerance and a low level of self-esteem and ambition.
