أثر استراتيجية توليد الأفكار (سكامبر)‎ في تحسين مهارات الكتابة الإبداعية لدى طالبات الصف العاشر في الأردن

Abstract EN

The present study aimed at investigating the effect of generating ideas (SCAMPER) strategy on improving creative writing skills among female tenth graders in Jordan.

To achieve this aim, the researchers developed a creative writing test as well as a teacher’s guide in light of SCAMPER strategy.

The sample of the study consisted of 47 female students at Madabba governorate in the second semester of the academic year 2015/2016.

The participants, as selected purposefully, were then distributed into two groups; an experimental group entailing 22 students taught by SCAMPER strategy, and a control group involving 25 students taught by the traditional method described in the teachers’ guide .

The findings showed that there are significant statistical differences between the mean scores of students' performance in all creative writing skills attributed to SCAMPER teaching strategy which is all for the experimental group.

Based on the findings, the researchers recommended the need of training teachers to use SCAMPER strategy in teaching other language skills in general and in teaching creative writing skills, in particular.

The study further stressed teaching the strategy of expansion and associating it to creative thinking throughout the process of creative writing as it enables students to demonstrate thinking skills while learning Arabic language.
