The study aimed to detect the level of burnout among special education teachers in AL Rass public schools in Saudi Arabia, and its relationship with some demographic variables, as the teacher expertise, and the type of specialty, and educational stage, and the number of students in the teaching rooms.

The study sample included 32 teachers, were selected using the comprehensive sampling from the overall public schools in Al Rass, during the second semester of the academic year (2013-2014).

Burnout Inventory prepared by the researcher, comprised of 22 items, was implemented on the sample.

Results of the study indicated that special education teachers in Al Rass suffer from an average level of burnout.

The study also showed to the absence of statistically significant differences due to the variables of teaching expertise, specialty, educational stage, and the number of students in the classroom.
