Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the role of Al-Quds Open University in community service in the light of Societal responsibility from faculty members perspectives, and check the differences between faculty members in the light of their personal variables.

To achieve the study objectives descriptive analytical approach was used, where the study tool was a questionnaire, which consisted of three roles: the role of the university towards community, the role towards workers, and the role towards students.

That’s the questionnaire consisted of (47) items.

The questionnaire was applied at all faculty members at Al-Quds open University in the first semester during a cadmic year (2016/2017) and their number is (73).

The researcher recovered (56) correct questionnaires and treated statistical deal.

The study showed that the role of Al-Quds Open University in community service in the light of Societal responsibility from faculty members perspectives equal (75.89%).

Where the first domain was the role towards students with percentage (78.94%) then the role towards workers with percentage (76.413%), and the final domain was the role towards community with percentage (73.213%).

And the study results showed that there are no statistical significant differences between faculty members responses about the role of Al-Quds Open University in community service in the light of Societal responsibility.
