Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the relationship between the level of depressive symptoms and the level of satisfaction with the quality of life for women with cancer and women with multiple sclerosis, and the study sample consisted of (64) women; which included (35) women with cancer and (29) women with multiple sclerosis.

To achieve the objectives of the study the quality of life scale was developed and Arabic version of Beck depression Inventory was used.

The study showed a statistically significant relationship at the significance level (α = 0.05) between the fields: the level of satisfaction of l (healthy living, life satisfaction, marriage life, satisfaction with social life, job satisfaction, and satisfaction with level of income) and the total level of depression.

The results also indicated that the level of depression was high amongst women with cancer and women with multiple sclerosis with a mean (3.1548) and standard deviation (0.26064).

And most common depressive symptoms were low efficiency and disability to accomplish tasks.

The results also pointed that the level of satisfaction with the quality of life in the sample was average, arithmetic average (2.9072) and standard deviation (0.4443), as for the aspects, general life satisfaction ranked first, followed by satisfaction with marriage life, followed by satisfaction with social life, then job satisfaction, and satisfaction with level of income, and came last the satisfaction about healthy life in sixth place.
