Abstract EN

This study aimed to recognize the level of the organizational commitment and its impact on the employees' performance in Irbid District Electricity Company from its employee's perspectives.

The results of this study showed that the level of "organizational commitment" was high and its components were descendingly ordered as the following: emotional commitment, continuance commitment, and normative commitment).

The level of “performance” was extremely high and its components were descendingly ordered as the following: (speed of performance, volume of performance, and quality of performance).The results also showed that there was an impact of organizational commitment with all its components on the performance and that there is a tight relationship between them.

The results showed that there are no differences with statistical indications at the level (a ≥ 0,05) in the estimates of a sample of employees in Irbid District Electricity Company on organizational commitment which referred to changes in job title, years of service, salary, and educational level.
