أثر استخدام نموذج كولب في اكتساب المفاهيم الكيميائية و انتقال أثر التعلم لدى طلاب الصف التاسع الأساسي في الأردن

Abstract EN

This study aimed at investigating the effect of Kolb’s model on Acquisition of chemical concepts and transfer learning among the ninth-grade students in Jordan and their laboratory work skills.

The sample of the study consisted of (44) ninth-grade students chosen from Ader Secondary School /Karak Directorate of Education for the academic year 2014/2015.

The participants were distributed into two divisions, control group and experimental group.

To achieve the objectives of the study, a teacher's guide was prepared for the fourth unit "Acids, Bases and Salts" from the ninth grade Chemistry book in accordance with Kolb’s model, also a test of the chemical concepts consisting of (32) items of multiple choice was prepared and a test of learning transfer, the validity and the reliability of the study tools were verified.

Having analyzed data, the results showed the effectiveness of Kolb’s model in improving chemical concepts and learning transfer for the ninth-grade student.

It was found that there is a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (α= 0.05) between performance of the two groups in favor of the experimental group that was received instruction through Kolb’s model.
