Abstract EN

The current research aimed at identify the effectiveness of an e-learning environment based on collaborative learning in the development of critical thinking among students of the faculty of education at the university of princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman.

the sample of the study consisted of (12) student teacher, was divided into two groups : (6) students in the experimental group which studied by using e-learning environment based on collaborative learning (6) students in the control group, which studied using the usual traditional method.

search results showed no statistically significant differences (α ≤ 0.05) between the two groups at the whole critical thinking test and at each of its levels due to the method of teaching.
