Abstract EN

This study aims at demonstrating the relations ship between the application of the dimensions of the BSC and the enhancement of the competitive edge of the Palestinian Banks operating in Gaza Strip.

In order to achieve the objectives of this study the research adopted the qualitative and analytical methodology.

A questionnaire was designed to collect information.

The population of the study consisted of all the employees working in the Palestinian Banks operating in Gaza Strip (Bank of Palestine, the Islamic Palestinian Bank, and the Islamic Arab Bank).

The study sample was a stratified random sample consisting of seventy employed at various administrative levels.

Sixty two questionnaires were returned duly completed representing 88.6% of the total distributed.

The statistical qualitative method together with the T-Test, in addition to the size of the impact were used to measure the significance level.

The study has concluded that the Banks operating in Gaza Strip used the BSC to a great extent except for the social dimension.

The banks have the elements of the competitive edge to a large extent.

There is a positive relationship between the application of the BSC dimensions and the enhancement of the competitive edge of Palestinian Banks.

There is a great and important impact for the application of the of the BSC dimensions on the competitive edge of the Palestinian banks.

The study recommended the need for giving more importance for the application of the BSC dimensions, concentrating of the social dimension.

The study also recommended the need to concentrate on the competitive edge represented in excellence, concentration and cost for the Palestinian Banks.
