Abstract EN
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between administrative empowerment and organizational commitment among 397 employees in the ministry of housing in Saudi Arabia.
To analyze the data, descriptive analytical approach was used.
The researcher used the comprehensive survey method, where questionnaire was used as a tool.
397 questionnaires were distributed.
223 questionnaires were returned with 56% response rate.
The research results indicated that the level of administrative empowerment was moderate, while organizational commitment was high.
The results also revealed that there was a positive and significant relationship between administrative empowerment and organizational commitment.
In addition, the result of this study showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the dimensions of administrative empowerment and organizational commitment.
The most important results are: (1) giving more authorities in performing the work; (2) linking administrative empowerment with vision of the Kingdom (2030) and the National Transition Program (2020); (3) developing appropriate mechanism for rewards and promotions; (4) creating harmony between the objectives of employees and ministry; (5) supporting recreational activities and provide health services for employees; and (6) designing training programs in order to spread administrative empowerment and organizational commitment culture among employees at the ministry.
