Abstract EN

The purpose of this study was to explore the extent to which classroom teacher students at the Hashemite University in Jordan have social skills from their Point of View, and to determine if there are statistical differences in having these skills due to gender, study level and cumulative average.

By using the descriptive and survey methodology, Sample of this study consisted of (150) male and female students enrolled in Bachelor of classroom teacher for academic year 2005/ 2006.

A questionnaire of social skills of (42) items with five subscales was administered to the subjects.

Findings indicated that the extent to which the students have social skills was high, as well as there were no significant differences in the extent to which the students have social skills due to gender, while there were significant differences due to study level and cumulative average.
