This study dealt with reading in the digital age and the interaction of students with this advanced type of reading, especially in the radical change of the educational subjects which depends on the research and personal survey by the student and the lack of resources and references in most of our school libraries.
So the students did not just go back to digital resources This is the result of direct contact with students and increased demand for the renewal of sources of school library in the secondary school.
So we had to search for alternative solutions to the paucity of paper sources.
One of the best of these solutions was to conduct an Experimental study of a group of students visiting the library in the secondary school to study how they interact with sources of digital reading.
The study included two theoretical aspects that discuss the concept of digital reading, its media and the field aspect.
It is a questionnaire that was distributed to the secondary students of Port Said Secondary School.
The study concluded with a set of results that show how students interact with reading in the age.
The study also found suggestions to promote reading and encouragement in schools by investing in modern technology and employing it in education, where students can meet their literacy needs in the face of scarcity of paper resources.
