This study aimed at investigating the effect of an instructional program on remediation of spelling errors in Arabic among sixth grade students at Irbid Governorate.
The study population consists of all primary sixth grade students (٧٤٢٧) students, during the scholastic year (2014 / 2015).
The study sample consisted of (153) students who were chosen randomly, they were distributed into two groups: a control group that consisted of (76) students, and the experimental group consisted of (77) students.
The researcher used spelling test and the instructional program on remediation of spelling errors.
The findings of the study were: There were statistical significant differences in the averages on the spelling test attributed to the group, in favor of the experimental group, except in the case of the characters that are pronounced but not written.
And there were statistical significant differences in the averages on the spelling test due to the impact of sex except in the case of hamzat el wasel and el kata, for the favor of females.
And there were statistical significant differences in the averages on the spelling test due to the impact of achievement levels except in the case of el hamza al mutatarefah and the characters that are pronounced but not written, for the favor of achievement levels (medium, and high).
And there were no statistical significant differences due to the impact of the interaction variables of sex and achievement levels.
