Abstract EN

The objective of current study was to study the correlation relationship between self-compassion and social interest.

And to know self-compassion and social interest level with the University of Jordan Students.

A scale with satisfactory content validity and internal consistency was developed and constructed on (100) first year students who study counseling and psychological health and special education at the university of Jordan.

The results showed that students possess an intermediate level in self-compassion scale.

Where the dimensions: self-judgment, Isolation, an Over-Identification were at the intermediate level.

While dimensions: self-kindness, common humanity, and mindfulness were at low level.

Furthermore, the results revealed that students possess an intermediate level in social interest scale.

The results also revealed a positive correlation relationship between self-compassion and social interest with the University of Jordan Students.
