Abstract EN

This study aimed to find out the differences in phonological awareness among a sample of normal people and those with reading learning difficulties.

The study sample consisted of 30 respondents, both from normal people and those with reading learning difficulties, of studentsfromthe third and fourthyearprimary school, and for the purpose of achieving the objectives of the study, the researcher used the diagnostic assessment to gauge difficulties learning to read.

The resultsof the studyindicatedthe presence ofstatistically significant differences inphonological awareness between normal people and those with reading learning difficulties.

The study also showed the presence of statistically significant differences in awareness and 10 difficulties to learn to read, and indicated as well the presence of statistically significant differences in phonological awareness among people with reading learning difficulties, due to gender and the lack of differences in the same sample due to the level of education.

In light of these results,the researcher put a number of recommendations and proposals.
