This study aimed to identify the awareness of life skills in the families of autism disorder children and its relationship with their children’s social interaction in Amman and determine the differences among the social interaction averages for those families, in addition to finding out the differences among the social interaction averages for autism disorder children.

It also aimed to specify whether there is a significant correlation between the level of family awareness of daily living skills and its relationship with their children’s social interaction in Amman.

The importance of the study is obvious from its attempt to investigate the life skills’ awareness of autism disorder children’s families and its relationship with the social interaction of their children.

The current study used the descriptive approach, because it suits the nature of the study.

The researcher selected an intentional sample of 65 families of autism disorder children and their children from 5 autistic care centers in Amman / Jordan.

The researcher used the awareness of life skills for autism disorder children’s families scale and the social interaction scale for normal and special needs’ children.

The results showed that the degree of awareness of life skills in the families of children with autism disorder was moderate.

Furthermore, the level of social interaction in children with autism disorder was moderate.

There is a significant correlation between the level of family awareness of life skills and the degree of social interaction in children with autism disorder.
