Abstract EN

The paper aimed at identifying (a) the degree of complying with national teacher standards in assessing students' learning by teachers of Zarqa Governorate from their viewpoint, and (b) any significant differences among their achievement estimation attributed to gender, experience and education.

The study adopted the descriptive approach, developed a questionnaire, comprising 45 items, and covering the 8 standards of assessing instruction and students' learning.

The instrument was administered to a sample of (404) teachers in the Zarqa Governorate.

The findings revealed a high degree of teachers' assessment of their compliance with the National Standards.

With regards to gender's effect, there were significance differences attributed to this variable, in favor of female teachers.

The effect of experience made significance differences attributed to this variable in favor teachers with more than 10 years in this regard.

However, there was no significant effect attributed to the variable of education
