Deux adaptations cinématographiques Egyptiennes du Roman Le Comte de Monte Cristo : Daerat El Intiqam et Wahed Men El Nas

Abstract EN

The adaptation is considered one of the most effective ways to measure cinema's ability to create lots of meanings throughout different ways “Script, dialogue, use of different voices in cinema”, specifically in film directing.

“Count De Monte Cristo” by Alexandre Doman considered as new and not time limited, although it had published on the 19th century and it had been converted into 8 Arab films one of them was “ Dayret El Entkam” that had been produced in 1976 and “ Wahed Men El Nas” which had been produced in 2006.

The study entails changes that happened due to adaptation, specially we are talking about three different centuries.

For example, the film “Wahed Men El Nas” incarnates the reasons of Arab spring revolutions that have been happened 5 years after the film.

The study adopted the following scientific methodologies, Historical methodology, descriptive methodology and Analytical methodology.

The most important outcome of this study is that “it is difficult to recognize that those films have been adapted from Alexandre Doman novel and this is due to following different writing rules in Egyptian cinema”
