The corruption of church life in the middle ages resulted in the emergence of monastic organizations seeking religious reform through strict laws, the most important which were the Franciscan and the Dominican Order, their missionaries reached their climax during the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, and their influnce increased until the two eras called « the era of the brotherhood ».

from this point, the research deals with one of the examples of these missions, which were represented by the envoy of the fransiscan monk, John Monte Corvino, to the land of the mongols and the strenuous efforts which he made in order to make his mission successful, christianize the largest number of people, and achieve satisfactory results compared to his predecessors.
